About The CEO
Stephen Cephas is the CEO and Senior Advisor of The SCS Groups LLC. He has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. He came into the industry with Metropolitan Life , and was trained and licensed in all facets of insurance including Life, Annuities, Property and Casualty, and Securities.
He gained his experience by working in several life insurance, and retirement niches in the industry. He has worked with Union Members, Group Members, Government Employees, State Employees, as well as Individual Families who were looking for a trusted advisor. In 2005 when Medicare was transitioning to a new way of covering retirees, (now called Medicare Advantage), he worked with several companies to gain the expertise which requires certification to be an advisor.
After starting his own independent agency, his dream was to offer a broader array of financial services outside of the traditional insurance services. He decided to look in the area of working with businesses, since he had prior marketing experience working with small to medium size businesses.
So now fast forward to the present, The SCS Groups has created partnerships that are now divisions we call Groups. These Groups provides services for businesses as well as for families. The services are provided by teams that have decades of expertise, and success. .In fact two of the business Groups operates under the premise that, “ We spend our money to make you more profitable”.
