After the training he worked in several niches in the industry including working with Union Members, Group Coverage, Government Employees, State Employees, as well as Individual Families who were looking for expert guidance. In 2005 when Medicare was transitioning to a new way of covering retirees he became involved and knowledgeable in the then new Prescription Drug Plan now called Medicare Part D. That new Drug Plan then transitioned to what we now know as Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part C. At that point he eventually worked for two major Medicare Companies. This gave him a more detailed insight as to how Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement can be a great option as medical coverage for people over the age of 65 or for Medicare Eligibles who are on disability.
While working with these individuals and families he used the various major insurance companies to help them with retirement plans, basic coverage for families and children, Final Expense Plans as well as a 50 year old specialty company to help with Estate Planning that provides Wills, Durable Power of Attorney, Living Wills. This same company gave them unlimited access to attorney’s nationwide for anything from minor to major issues, and other legal services.
It was at this point that Stephen wanted to realize his long term dream. His Dream was to have a financial services company that reached out beyond just offering insurance. It was then that he knew he would have to create alliances that became divisions. He was going to rely on the expertise of companies that had over two decades and in some cases, over five decades of experience and success. These new divisions would help business owners with additional cash flow using specialized tax incentives, as well as cost remediation to reduce business expenditures. The real bonus to these services is that these divisions will do all the work on a contingency basis, and if no benefit can be derived the business owner does not owe a thing. In today’s business climate that is a real benefit.
So this is how The SCS Groups LLC was developed. Using his years of experience and determination to find better ways for the consumer, but especially for the small to medium size business owner who gets ignored because they are not a “ Mega Company “ It is the small to medium size businesses that makes our country’s GDP work.
